Over the winter we have been busy, but its not all work and no play.

As well as doing all the winter refurbishment of rooms and having a new floor and radiators in our lounge we have managed a few short breaks away to recharge the batteries.

A fortnight in Spain in November and we were lucky enough to have a fair bit of sunshine, torrential rain, thunder storms, snow and even a tornado!

Back home to start the painting and get ready for a family Christmas at Keigwin.

New Year saw us visiting family in Devon and Gloucester, then in late February we took off for a weeks skiing. The weather was kind to us we had great snow conditions and some good sunshine.

Ski a little, stop for a hot chocolate, ski a little more, stop for a vin chaud, ski a little…. that was my mantra:-). Whilst Stuart took advantage of my stops to pursue his need for speed and race down the slopes without having me hold him back, I had his drink waiting for him so he lost as little time as possible sitting around!

Back from skiing and I popped over to Tresco for the weekend, to catch up with family and join in the reopening of Tresco Church after its winter of refurbishment.

Later in March we had a weekend in Dublin.

20150314_115200    We did the obligatory Guinness tour, does anyone remember these?

Amazing 360 degree views of the city from the bar at the top of the building. We did the hop on hop off bus tour and on our second bus got a live commentary from Bob who was hilarious, if you ever go to Dublin do the green bus tour around the city, it is very informative and a great way to get around. We spent the Saturday afternoon in a pub watching the rugby Ireland vs Wales and then England vs Scotland, the sole English supporters in the place but they knew we were there when Jack Knowles scored a try!!

A sphere in Trinity College.

We loved Dublin, its architecture is beautiful and the people were so friendly, we will hope to go back again sometime.
