Things to do, places to visit.

Use Keigwin House as your base and take time to explore the Lands End peninsula with its rugged cliffs, sandy beaches and secluded coves. Visit the fishing villages of Newlyn and Mousehole with their winding roads and many galleries and gift shops.
Further west along the coast is Porthcurno with its telegraph museum and the Minack open-air theatre; take in a show or just wonder at the vision that became the Minack and don’t forget to look out to sea and you may just see a basking shark or two.
Onwards to Sennen to relax on its golden sands or take to the water for a bracing dip or even try surfing, before watching the sun set over the Isles of Scilly. Travelling onwards along the north coast you will reach Pendeen and Botallack steeped in mining history. You could stop off at Geevor tin mine for a trip into the past before going on to St Ives with its much publicized Tate Gallery, picturesque harbour and a multitude of gift shops and galleries, not forgetting the gorgeous beaches.
Back on the south coast a visit to Marazion is a must. Take a wander across the causeway to St Michaels Mount and climb up to visit the house and gardens, which cling to the cliffs. The Mount whilst being part of the National Trust is still home to the St.Aubyn family, as it has been for nearly 350 years.
A visit to the beautiful Isles of Scilly is another popular trip. Day trips can be taken by the Scillonian III ship that sails from Penzance, a Skybus fixed-wing aircraft from Lands End Airport or helicopter from Penzance. The helicopter also flies direct to Tresco where the world famous Tresco Abbey Gardens are very popular and well worth a visit.
If you are interested in gardens then we have some stunning examples within an hour or so. To name a few – The Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Trelissick and Trebah are all about 1 hour distant, with St Michaels Mount, Trengwainton and Trewithen within 10 minutes drive.
If you are into sport then West Penwith probably does it. ‘Mounts Bay’ is superb for sailing, windsurfing and kite surfing; Sennen and St Ives are renowned for their surfing and for the golf enthusiasts we have 4 golf courses within 20 minutes drive and 20 courses within 1 hours drive. Cycling along the country lanes is also popular with horse riding only 20 minutes away. If there is something we haven’t mentioned then please ask us.
