On Saturday we went to Newlyn Meadery with friends and family and had a lovely time, we were able to sit outside which was great as it was still so hot.
If you’ve never had a meadery then put it on your to do list next time you are in Penzance, its great for all the family, choose from either chicken, scampi, ribs, prawns, fish strips with chips and or salad. For the sweet toothed among us they have an amazing dessert menu. And to drink I highly recommend the blackberry mead and the elderberry mead either on its own or diluted with a little lemonade, thats for the adults of course!
We walked back along the green to see how Cormac are getting on with the defences. Moving along well, the footpath and green are due to be open by August Bank Holiday in time for the Newlyn Fish Festival. The footpath has a lovely new covering of tarmac.
See how much concrete has been poured into these defences, it should withstand any more winter storms.
