Tuesday 12th August 2014 and the National Trust were celebrating 60 years of being in partnership with St Michaels Mount. We managed a brief overnight trip back home to Scilly last weekend, thanks to Becky and Mark for holding the fort whilst we were away. With a house full of German ladies who are up and out early each morning and only one room changing we took the very rare opportunity to have a night off in August. The weather has been so great this summer I have been swimming most days. One weekend we had Stuarts nephew down to stay with his four children and we went to Marazion beach for the afternoon. On Saturday we went to Newlyn Meadery with friends and family and had a lovely time, we were able to sit outside which was great as it was still so hot.
